Kevin J. Holl

Practice
Kevin J. Holl is an AV rated attorney who has represented businesses and individuals in a broad spectrum of cases. His complex litigation practice emphasizes a variety of commercial disputes, trade secrets, unfair competition and employment matters. A significant part of Mr. Holl’s practice is devoted as well to representing consumers in class action lawsuits for false advertising and price fixing.

Mr. Holl has successfully completed trials in state and federal courts, as well as significant arbitrations before the National Association of Securities Dealers and AAA. He has substantial experience in securing temporary restraining orders and preliminary injunctions and in defending clients against such injunctive relief.

Professional and Community Activities
Mr. Holl was recognized by Law & Politics and the publishers of San Francisco Magazine in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and again in 2009, as one of Northern California’s Super Lawyers”, consisting of the top five percent of the attorneys in Northern California. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Litigation Section of the State Bar of California. He also serves as a court appointed arbitrator and mediator with the San Francisco Superior Court and the San Francisco Bar Association. Mr. Holl is an adjunct faculty member for the University of San Francisco School of Law Intensive Trial Advocacy Program. San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom appointed Mr. Holl in 2004 to the Treasure Island Citizen Advisory Board. He is also a co-founder of the Douglas M. Raskin Scholarship which, since 1995, has provided annual scholarships to students at the University of San Francisco School of Law. Additionally, he has spoken on panels in numerous legal and business seminars and has lectured at the University of California at Berkeley. Mr. Holl has also published articles concerning political, legal and environmental issues.

Education and Courts
Mr. Holl received a B.S. in International Business from San Francisco State University in 1981 after studying abroad in France at the Universite de Grenoble. In 1986, he earned his J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law where he was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award in Constitutional Law and was a judicial extern for the Honorable Harry W. Low (Ret.), Presiding Justice, California Court of Appeal. He is admitted to practice in the state courts of California, in the United States District Court for the Central, Eastern and Northern Districts of California, and in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
