Jeremy Sugerman's practice encompasses a wide variety of legal matters, including commercial liability litigation, employment
agreements and disputes, insurance coverage, asbestos litigation, defamation claims, intellectual property agreements, and trademark and copyright infringement disputes.
Mr. Sugerman has completed many successful civil trials in areas including personal injury, professional liability, insurance coverage, and commercial jury trials in California Superior
and United States District Courts. Mr. Sugerman also practices in the appellate courts, having argued successful appeals in the California Courts of Appeal and the United States Court
of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Mr. Sugerman is the past President of the Board of Directors
of the San Francisco Senior Center, the nation's oldest non-profit
senior center, a multi-purpose human service agency providing
services and programs for seniors, their families, and other
caregivers (www.sfsenior.com). Mr. Sugerman also serves on
the board of the American Safe Climbing Association, a non-profit
organization of climbers dedicated to making the sport of
rock climbing safer by replacing unsafe bolts and anchors
and educating climbers, land managers, and the public about
climbing and anchor safety (www.safeclimbing.org).
Mr. Sugerman attended Vassar College, receiving his A.B. in English in 1984. He attended the Master's Program in English Literature at The College of William and Mary in Virginia, and
received a J.D. with honors from George Washington University's National Law Center in 1989. He is admitted to practice in the State of California, before the United States District
Court for the Northern District of California, and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
